When will the Apple iPhone be Released in Malaysia?

The iPhone is basically a device that plays your music and videos stored in a small hard drive, and makes calls. The availability of other radio functions (WIFI, EDGE, 3G) is not yet made clear. However, going by Apple’s design track record, it would be well crafted and designed.

Sources tell me that it will probably retail around RM4000 in Malaysia, which is not surprising since Apple traditionally prices high, and goes for the very niche premium, brand-concious and design-savvy lot. Probable Asian release would be nothing before early 2008.

To recap, this is another example of why Apple is one of the most admired brands around. It’s not exactly what they do, but how they do it and deliver the feel-good factor to consumers, something that is critical in todays competitive consumer electronics market.
